Welcome to the Highland town of Brora (Scottish Gaelic: Brùra) in the county of Sutherland on the north east coast of northern Scotland. Approximately 60 miles north of the Highland capital city of Inverness.
 
Brora village has a population of around 1282 according to the last Scottish census, an increase of around 142 since 2001. Living in 631 households, with around 1072 residents aged over 16.
 
Brora is serviced by a primary school, Brora Primary and Adult Learning Centre both situated on Johnstone Place, and a Public Library on Gower Street. The Doctors Surgery is in Station Square, the Chemists on Victoria Road, a Co-operative food store in Fountain Square and the Post Office is at Bridge End.
 
Brora also has a National Rail railway station and a small number of local Churches.
